Hometown People

We are your neighbors; familiar faces you see in the community each day.

We are Hometown People delivering the Hometown News!

  • The Westside Journal is in its 14th year of delivering your news and we are still going strong! Thanks to the grace of God, our loyal advertisers and all of our readers, we can continue to publish a free weekly newspaper in the fast-paced world we live in! Residents in Callahan, Hilliard and Bryceville are kept up to date on the happenings on the west side of Nassau County and look forward to the paper each week!

Jessie Pickett - Graphic Designer

  • Jessie is in charge of designing the look of our paper. She was born and raised in Hilliard and is a 2001 graduate of Hilliard Middle-Senior High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College in 2004 majoring in Fine Art and Graphic Design. She adds creativity and precision that sets our paper apart from others.

Hometown News

"Both of us have called these communities our homes for many years. It seems so natural to be able to tell about the places and people we have known forever. This is just one more reason why we are honored to publish a paper that we are very proud of."
